Happiness is a Decision

Success and Happiness is a feeling every human being on this planet desires in their heart of hearts. And yet most of us look for happiness in all the wrong places and end up causing ourselves more suffering.

This is because we are looking outside of ourselves for some thing or some one to bring us that feeling.

Rumi once said, We go from room to room looking for the diamond necklace around our neck.
So it is when we search everywhere for happiness, and we never see where it really is, which is with us all along.

I think we all would agree that Happiness does not depend on material things, such as driving a certain car or holding a prestigious title. (although those things can add pleasure to your life).

Happiness does not depend on other people, like whether you have a significant other or not. (although having loving and supportive people around adds to your enjoyment)

Happiness does not depend on what happens, so if you stay, it will be good and if you go, it will be good.

Happiness is not to be found anywhere in the external world.

The main obstacle to happiness is faulty thinking. For instance thinking someone or some thing can make you happy. Beware also of what A Course in Miracles calls, elusive happiness, which is happiness that changes and shifts with times and places. ACIM says this kind of happiness is an illusion and has no meaning!

So where does one find happiness?
Stop looking outside for what can only be found inside.
And make a decision to be happy.

Let me repeat that:
Happiness DOES Depend on your decision to be happy.

So, consider this, have you ever made a conscious decision to be happy?
My guess is No.
Here is your official invitation to Be Happy!
Let us join forces for happiness.

Repeat after me:
I, your name, decide to be happy right now, despite the weather, the world, or what happens to me. I absolutely know it is my God-given birthright to be happy.
And as the light of God that I am, I reclaim happiness and happiness reclaims me.
So be this.

May happiness live in your heart,

The 11 Reasons Why We Do What We Do and Do not Do What We Could Do

1. Because of the Personal Operating System (POS) we use.
What is your POS? Does it need an upgrade?

2. Because of the Personal Environment Surrounding Us
You are most like the 5 books you last read, 5 people you spend the most time with, and the 5 places you consistently live and/or travel.

3. Because We Dont Know What We Dont Know
What dont you know that would be wise to know? What do you want to get smart about?

4. Because of Our Degree of Self-Awareness
You do what you can sense. What are you not sensing that would help you know yourself more intimately?

5. Because of What We Believe To Be True
Truth is evolving very quickly. Can you keep up?

6. Because of Our Humanity
You inherited biological and sociological influences such as genes, personality, ego, past, roles, and responsibilities.

7. Because of Our Society
You were born into a culture that often defines who you are and what you should do.

8. Because of the Ideas that Determine Our Thinking
New ideas lead to change. What new ideas can you search out?

9. Because of the Strength of Our Support Team
You need quality friends, coaches, mentors, and people in your life to be your best.

10. Because of Our Level of Openness and Responsiveness
The more open-minded you are and responsive to incoming stimuli, the more adaptable you become.

11. Because We Either Ignore or Follow Our Intuition
If you follow your intuition, you are guided in the direction most joyful to your soul.

(This list was inspired by the Father of Coaching, Thomas Leonard).

Top 11 Ways to Make This Year Way Better Than Last Year

Top 11 Ways to Make This Year Way Better Than Last Year

1. Hire a personal coach. (That is when you decide you are ready to succeed).
2. Develop an attitude of gratitude and appreciation.
Upon waking, say thank you and I will do good.
Before falling asleep, say thank you and I did good!
3. Read more books. To get even smarter....go for 1 book every week.
4. Schedule soul care time: yoga, meditation, walks on the beach, etc.
5. Eat more live food and drink more pure water.
